Location: North Yorkshire. Location of posts to be discussed. Flexible work bases and hybrid working available.

Salary: From £38,220 to £42,839 per annum pro rata + relocation support

Grade: JK

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week) and part-time (18.5 hours) positions available. Flexible working can be discussed.

We very much promote flexible working with the option to work remotely from home at times. Whilst your base will be identified within a specific location, you may at times, be required to work from other bases across the county.

North Yorkshire Council’s Adoption Service, part of One Adoption North and Humber, is nationally recognised for excellence. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Adoption Social Worker to join our dedicated team in Harrogate or Selby (to be discussed at interview).

About the role

One Adoption North and Humber is committed to providing timely, high-quality services to meet the needs of children who need permanence through adoption. You will be part of a highly acclaimed, supportive service that operates a comprehensive programme of induction. The

Working in the adoption team is an exciting, challenging, unique and rewarding job. It is a role, which gives social workers the opportunity to operate within a range of contexts, including:

· Undertaking assessments of prospective adopters,

· Providing adoption support services to children and families,

· Providing preparation training to prospective adoptive parents

· Supporting the matching and placing of children

What We’re Looking For

* Qualified Social Worker (CQSW, DipSW, CSS, PQCCA)
* Knowledge of adoption legislation, guidance, and best practice.
* Strong communication and assessment skills, with the ability to engage with children, families, and adopters.
* Ability to work flexibly and travel across the county as needed.
