Blair West is supporting a high growth specialised manufacturer of advanced components, in their search for a CFO.
The business has scaled rapidly whilst maintaining exceptional EBITDA margins and enjoys deeply embedded relationships with its internationally significant clients. This is a key leadership appointment, as the business completes a Private Equity investment round and embarks on a growth strategy comprising customer diversification, M&A, and investment in operational excellence that will result in a vertically integrated, market leading Group. Geographic flexibility is essential and relocation may be required.
The opportunity:
* Lead all financial operations across the group, including reporting, planning, controls, and cash management.
* Operate as a true partner to the CEO and PE investors, with active involvement in board-level strategy and decision making.
* Drive financial and operational transformation, introducing best-practice processes and scalable systems.
* Own and lead M&A processes, from deal evaluation through to execution and integration.
* Navigate a leveraged environment, ensuring strong compliance, financial discipline, and risk management.
* Lead funding and banking relationships, ensuring liquidity and alignment with growth plans.
* Support the professionalisation of the business, transforming an under-invested finance function.
* Be a key figure in supporting broader operational improvements and cross-functional development.
You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:
* Previous experience as CFO in a private equity-backed business with EBITDA in excess of £20m.
* A strong background in manufacturing or services, with a clear understanding of complex operations.
* Experience operating within a leveraged business structure.
* Proven success scaling and professionalising finance operations in under-invested businesses.
* Hands-on experience with M&A, including diligence, deal execution and integration.
* Experience working with both public sector clients and scaled commercial organisations.
* A strategic mindset combined with a roll-up-your-sleeves approach to transformation.
* Availability to be on site at least 4 days a week, with additional travel as required. Geographic flexibility is key to success in this role.
The benefits included with this opportunity:
* High-impact CFO role in a private equity-backed growth business.
* Competitive salary package with equity.
* Opportunity to work alongside a new CEO and shape the organisation’s next chapter.
* Active involvement in M&A activity with full backing from a committed investor group.
