Wates are looking for a DfMA to join our Construction team in the Cambridgeshire area focussing on high profile, technically complex projects across the MOJ sector.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) Manager will control the design, manufacture, production and distribution of offsite manufactured components and assemblies. Working under the strategic leadership of the Head of DfMA, the role holder will directly support the business objective to increase the pre-manufactured value on projects and improve the products and processes used to deliver built assets.
The DfMA manager will particularly focus on:
* precast concrete structures package and its interfaces with specialist ‘cast-in’ components
* off-site manufactured services modules (risers, skids, corridor modules etc)
As our DfMA Manager you will:
* Manage the offsite supply chain to meet delivery programme. Linking to the Planners for JIT delivery/monitoring stock levelsCapacity mapping of all components. Set up a component tracking system/matrix which also identifies interdependencies and links to design freeze to ensure manufacturing slots are agreed.
* Design and set-up of field quality systems to support DfMA workflows.
* Work with the Contractor Alliance and our supply chain partners to develop levels of knowledge and experience, including lessons learnt, to help specify, develop and test products which are optimised for offsite manufacturing processes.
* Carry out quality inspections and compose technical reports.
