Job responsibilities The service will employ an innovative model to provide out of area service delivery, gatekeeping for S117 after care applications, out of area placements/independent hospitals and individual funding requests for specialist complex mental health care for people with severe mental health issues. The role will offer an opportunity to make a real difference to peoples lives by working very closely with the mental health locality teams, ICBs, Local Authorities, Care Providers, and other key stakeholders. The role will offer autonomy, variety, and significant development opportunities, both in leadership and clinical skills. The ideal candidate will: - have experience of working with patients with complex mental health and social care needs - be a registered Occupational Therapist/ Social Worker/Registered Mental Health Nurse - be able to empathise, be supportive and sensitive to the needs of others, and themselves - be passionate about supporting people to live fulfilling lives independently For further information about the role, please see attached job description and person specification.
