We’re looking for a strategic, forward-thinking leader to shape and deliver Middlemarch’s talent and organisational development agenda. As our Talent & Organisational Development Lead, you’ll help shape and build a thriving, inclusive and high-performing workplace where people feel supported to grow, lead and make a real impact. Reporting to the Executive team, you’ll design and deliver talent and workforce planning strategies, from the ground up, that strengthen our organisational development capabilities, leadership, and culture, ensuring that our workforce has the tools to thrive today and adapt for tomorrow. You’ll also provide senior leadership on internal engagement, aligning voice, culture and performance across the organisation. This is a strategic, hands-on role that will influence how we attract, develop reward, and retain our people. Lead the design and delivery of Middlemarch’s talent and workforce planning strategies, ensuring alignment with business growth and sustainability goals. Build and embed core competencies, frameworks for learning, development, performance, and career progression. Act as a lynchpin for people and team development, succession planning and recruitment. Champion an inclusive, feedback-rich culture that improves engagement, belonging and performance at every level. Use people analytics and evidence to measure impact, drive continuous improvement, and inform decision-making. Partner with directors and managers to translate organisational ambitions into capability and culture outcomes. Develop leadership and management pathways that build confidence, accountability, and future-ready skills. Line manage and develop the internal communications and engagement function, ensuring consistent messaging and alignment with Middlemarch’s values. You’re a strategic, people-focused leader who combines strategic insight with the ability to deliver meaningful change. Degree-level education and CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent senior practice). Proven experience in a talent, organisational development or people development role, ideally within a consultancy, professional services or technically skilled organisation. Strong background in delivering organisation-wide programmes in workforce planning, leadership, performance, and culture. Strong background in organisational development and change, with clear evidence of measurable impact. Expertise in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, engagement, and culture transformation. Skilled in using people analytics to drive improvements and inform decisions. Additional coaching or psychometric accreditations desirable.
