Equans UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior Consultant / Energy Engineering Manager to join our team in Central London. This is a hybrid, full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of £45,000 - £65,000, along with a company vehicle or allowance and benefits. The role requires willingness to travel.

Division and Team
The Carbon Shift division supports clients in shaping operational plans to meet net zero goals, translating these into engineering management programs through our project delivery teams. Our team comprises commercially minded engineers capable of creating and presenting viable, turnkey net zero solutions. We serve a diverse client base, including manufacturing, industry, corporate, retail, heritage, transport, and public sector entities.
Responsibilities
1. Manage teams and projects effectively, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and client satisfaction.
2. Deliver technical reports and energy audits to support solutions development.
3. Build and maintain strong client relationships to generate repeat business.
4. Assist in training new team members within ECS.
5. Ensure compliance with EQUANS governance standards.
6. Provide industry thought leadership and represent ECS at industry events.
Technical and Commercial Tasks
1. Conduct energy audits, develop energy projects, and create engineering and conceptual designs.
2. Develop complex numerical models assessing feasibility of energy projects.
3. Ensure quality assurance through peer and management reviews.
4. Engage with stakeholders to communicate progress and submissions.
5. Support profitability and revenue targets through efficient project management.
6. Identify and communicate risks and benefits to stakeholders.
7. Collaborate with commercial and finance teams to deliver profitable solutions.
8. Provide ongoing support for energy and carbon solutions post-project handover.
Business Development
1. Identify and develop low carbon and energy solutions opportunities.
2. Maintain knowledge of industry trends and represent Equans at events.
3. Collaborate with internal teams to explore opportunities and develop marketing materials.
4. Participate in marketing campaigns and industry events.

Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications and Experience:
* Technical knowledge of implementing energy solutions and understanding of building, commercial, or industrial engineering services.
* Degree in energy-related engineering or applied sciences.
* Proven expertise in at least two of the following: decarbonisation of heat, renewable energy, energy management, BMS controls, net zero programs, district heating, or energy data analytics.
* Strong presentation skills and experience communicating complex technical issues.
* Problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
* Self-motivated with a passion for the net zero agenda.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master’s degree in energy engineering.
* Experience in sales proposal development and marketing.
* Chartered status or on track for chartership.
* Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as CCA, GRI, CDP, SBTi, etc.
