Overview
The school in Hampton is looking to appoint an experienced, dedicated and engaging Primary SEN Teacher to join an outstanding school in Hampton, West London. The setting caters to children and young people with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple disabilities (PMLD) and autism. This expansion will involve appointing a number of primary class teachers for the new primary department. Initially you will be contracted through Reeson Education on a timesheet basis for the duration of a probation period, at which point a permanent contract will be offered subject to satisfactory performance. A comprehensive induction and inset programme, a pension scheme and wellbeing benefits (including an employee assistance programme) are provided.
Responsibilities
* Teach primary classes in a SEN environment within the new primary department.
* Engage in the school’s expansion and development plans.
* Participate in induction, training and ongoing professional development.
* Collaborate with colleagues to support the needs of students with SEN, including in mainstream or special school provision.
Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in special education.
* Newly qualified teachers and those moving from mainstream are welcome to apply.
* Demonstrated motivation to make a difference in students’ lives and the belief that all children can make outstanding progress.
* Experience of working with children who have SEN in either mainstream or special school settings.
* Basic PECS, Makaton, TEACCH and Team Teach skills (full training provided).
