Maintenance Operative to the team to support general maintenance duties for both preventative and repairs on the shop floor
The client we are supporting is seeking a Maintenance Operative to join their growing team. This engineering-biased company wishes to add a Maintenance Operative to the team to support general maintenance duties for both preventative and repairs on the shop floor and the office areas to ensure a safe and productive environment.
Job Description for the Maintenance Operative role:
1. To maintain the equipment on site to ensure the best uptime
2. General planned maintenance and repair of machines, facilities, and equipment
3. Ensuring safe working practices via approved processes, ensuring all processes adhere to current ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 standards
4. Work with the production teams to identify and implement process improvements
5. General repairs to buildings and facilities
6. Possible electrical repairs and installations dependent upon qualifications
7. To be proactive in creating a preventative maintenance system
8. Complete paperwork in a timely manner
9. To complete training and mentoring for apprentices
10. Once trained and competent to participate in the out-of-hours rota
For the Maintenance Operative role, it would be good to see candidates with:
11. BTEC Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant subject
12. 3 GCSEs, including Maths & English
13. To of ideally completed an apprenticeship
14. Strong attention to detail and someone who can work independently
15. An organised individual who can prioritise work
16. Strong communicator
17. Team player
18. Someone who is interested in taking on additional training
Hours: Monday – Thursday 7:30 am – 4:15 pm, Friday 6:00 am – 1:30 pm
Salary: up to £35,000 + Call out payments when apply
