Care will be carried out in accordance with individual care plans, whilst promoting privacy and dignity, enhancing independence, rehabilitation and personal choice. At times you will be responsible for the overall management of the home in the absence of the Home Manager, including on call. What you'll do To lead and motivate a team to deliver special experiences to residents, which promote choice and independence that make a positive difference to their daily lives Achieve the highest possible standards of care to enhance the resident experience by ensuring colleagues meet the individual needs of residents in accordance with company policy, regulations and Codes of Conduct and individual care plans, including but not limited to assisting with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing and continence management. To implement care home policies formulated by Four Seasons Health Care, directed towards high standards of resident care, staff welfare and training, and ensure the good reputation of the business in co-operation with the Home Manager. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual care of residents. Ensure treatments are carried out as prescribed. Follow care home policy in respect of custody and administration of all medication. Maintain personal contact with residents, their relatives and visitors to enhance the residents' quality of life Participate in the evaluation and review of policies and report to the Home Manager matters that effect policy. Under the supervision of the Home Manager, make onward referrals to external agencies Take appropriate action in the event of an emergency, in accordance with care home policy. Assist the Home Manager and deputise in the overall management of the care home including the production of reports, budget, Quality of Life monitoring. Assist in planning workloads and nursing resources as effectively as possible. Assist in maintaining stocks/stores at adequate levels, being mindful of the need for economy and good housekeeping. Ensure the safe care and custody of residents' property in accordance with care home policy. Report any accident/incident, loss or theft to the Home Manager and complete necessary data and statements promptly. Ensure that accurate care records are maintained in accordance with agreed policy. Maintain a working knowledge of the Health & Safety at Work Act, Operational Policies Manual and the Employee Handbook. Assist with supervision, appraisal and assessment and training of junior staff. Assist in staff recruitment, onboarding and orientation to the Care Home. Assist in staff disciplinary procedures as required. General Responsibilities To be responsible for the health, safety and welfare of yourself and others whilst at work, including colleagues, residents and visitors to the Home and for alerting the officers responsible to any hazards or potential risks to health and safety. To be fully conversant with the Beaumont policies relating to Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults and Whistleblowing. To ensure compliance with the Beaumont Information Governance Policy, maintaining an appropriate level of confidentiality around issues that may be personal or commercially sensitive. Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships both with colleagues, residents, visitors and other health professionals and agencies. Essential : Recognised Nurse Competent in written & spoken English Awareness and understanding of diversity Understanding and application of current legislation relevant role Recent experience of delivering nursing care in a clinical environment Awareness and understanding of the RQIA National Care Standards Understanding of and competence in medical and surgical nursing procedures IND04 To apply today contact Leanne Garrett in the strictest confidence.
