Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofing professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction and roofing, demonstrating expertise in various techniques and tools necessary for high-
quality roof installation and repair. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety while working on diverse roofing projects.
Responsibilities
* Install, repair, and maintain roofs using various materials such as shingles, metal, and tiles.
* Interpret schematics and blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements.
* Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively to complete roofing tasks.
* Perform heavy lifting as required to transport materials and equipment on-site.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high standards.
* Conduct inspections of roofs to identify issues or areas needing repair or maintenance.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices throughout all stages of work.
Skills
* Proficient in roofing techniques and materials with a solid understanding of construction principles.
* Experience in carpentry, masonry, plumbing, welding, and fabrication is highly desirable.
* Ability to operate various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to read schematics accurately.
* Capable of performing heavy lifting tasks as needed on job sites.
