We have recently gained a new package of care bringing many fresh and exciting opportunities to join our new team in Buxton on a two-to-one- basis.
We are looking for compassionate and committed Support Workers/Healthcare Assistants, who are passionate about delivering the highest quality two-to-one care for our service user, building positive relationships with them and their family while enabling them to live as independently as possible in their own home.
Our service user is a very sociable girl in her late teens who lives with her family in Buxton and requires support throughout the day on a 2:1 basis to support her complex care needs.
She loves spending quality time with her family and friends, listening to upbeat, pop, and dance music, going shopping, visiting the library and enjoys watching videos of herself and looking back at photographs.
Your day will start with collecting her from her educational setting using her adapted vehicle, accompanying her home, once you are home you will begin to settle her starting her night time routine. This will include providing support with personal care, moving, and handling, administering medications, and attending to her clinical needs when required.
Main duties of the job
On a Weekend you will be required to assist her with enjoying her hobbies, interests and accessing her social activities, this will include going swimming as she loves water therapy, being out and about in her wheelchair, visiting the farm, she loves being around the horses and generally socialising with her friends.
Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.
It is essential to hold a valid driving licence for this position as our service user does have an adapted vehicle
We have the following shifts available;
1. Full Time & Part Time Days
2. 2:30pm-9:30pm
3. Alternate Saturday and Sundays are essential for this position

Job responsibilities
The role of a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) is to work without direct supervision in the home of the service user providing care and support including personal, social, and domestic support whilst adhering to the service users individual care and support plan.
The aim of the position is to enable service users to remain safely in their own home with as much independence as possible.
Alongside providing care and support in a professional, discreet, and caring manner, always ensuring the service users right to privacy and dignity is maintained
