Completion Engineer
Location: Hinkley Point C - Bridgwater
Employment Type: Permanent - Full time
We have a new requirement for an experienced Completions Engineer to join us on the MEH Alliance on the Hinkley Point C construction project.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide and demonstrate positive HSE leadership and a strong Nuclear Safety Culture throughout the whole construction life cycle of the Project.
* Support the Building lead in the day-to-day reporting and prioritisation of system and subsystem requirements.
* Manage the commissioning need dates associated with the area/building and ensure reports are produced and socialised with the Construction team.
* Manage interfaces and collaborate with NNB Commissioning team and MEH Program team on all system needs.
* Interface with Database team to ensure specific system and subsystem data is correct and progressing.
* Conduct site walkdowns and ensure any available Completions activities are captured and workpacks are completed.
* Ensure all construction activities are executed in line with relevant specifications.
* Ensure all access strategies have been developed for system and subsystem walkdowns.
* Be aware of any project changes within the specified systems/subsystems, ensuring adherence to the project change process, including construction documentation and scope change aspects of the contract in coordination with the Building Lead.
* Manage and conduct system and subsystem walkdowns.
* Collate punch lists associated with subsystems and systems.
* Use core experience and engineering skills to assess practicalities and risks associated with Completions activities.
Qualifications
* Relevant engineering qualification.
* Relevant Professional Accreditation (PM, Construction, Engineering, Quality).
* Ability to achieve Security Clearance (BPSS or higher).
* IOSH Managing Safely certification.
Experience
* A proven track record in a completions-related role on large-scale projects in the nuclear or similar regulated sector.
* Experience in delivering and operating at a management level is preferred.
* Experience in using software systems for completions activities and punch list management.
* Multi-discipline understanding is essential.
* Knowledge of commissioning systems and sub-systems to ensure safe and controlled handover.
