Are you a passionate and qualified teacher of DT, specialising in Product Design? We have an exciting full time position commencing in September 2025.
Pay: To Scale
Hours: Full Time, term-time only (Mon-Fri)
Location: Mainstream secondary school, CV7
Start Date: September 2025
- Bachelors Degree in Product Design/Design & Technology
- Experience teaching Product Design within a UK secondary school
- Excellent behaviour management skills and a strong classroom presence
- Fantastic subject knowledge and awareness of the national curriculum
- Genuine passion for DT education and supporting children's learning within product design
- Previous experience teaching children with special educational needs
- Enhanced, child-only DBS on update service (or willing to obtain one)
Roles and responsibilities
- Plan a range of Product Design lessons to various year groups- ensuring you differentiate sessions to suit individual needs
- Create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment where students can express themselves freely through their art work
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively- setting expectations early to create a calm and safe classroom
- Maintain a committed stance to safeguarding, prioritising pupils' & staff's health, safety and well-being at all times
- Assess and monitor pupil progress and provide them with insightful feedback to support with their learning
- Willingness to cover other subjects across the Design & Technology where required
