Job Title: Azure DevOps Engineer

A leading organisation is seeking two experienced Azure/DevOps Engineers to join their team on a contract basis. This is an opportunity to play a key role in stabilising and enhancing cloud infrastructure while contributing to the early stages of a long‑term Internal Developer Platform initiative.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for supporting and improving the organisation’s Azure Data Centre and CI/CD ecosystem. Your initial focus will be clearing a backlog of infrastructure and pipeline-related tasks, followed by helping shape the foundations of a future Internal Developer Platform (DevEx) designed to elevate engineering efficiency and developer experience.
This is a highly technical, delivery‑focused position where your expertise will have a visible impact.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and maintain Azure infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, or Bicep
2. Build, optimise and support Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
3. Apply strong networking knowledge to support deployments and infrastructure needs
4. Work through an existing backlog of infrastructure, pipelines, and platform improvements
5. Contribute to early planning and design of a future internal platform (DevEx)
6. Collaborate effectively with IT teams and technical stakeholders
7. Operate within a cross‑functional engineering environment
Required Skills & experience
8. Proven experience operating Azure environments using IaC (Terraform, OpenTofu, Bicep)
9. Strong hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines
10. Solid understanding of cloud networking principles
11. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
12. Proactive, solutions‑oriented approach and strong team player mindset
