Part Time Company Bookkeeper - Callington - Circa: £24,000
Trial Balance Consulting has been exclusively assigned by a well-established owner-managed services business with two core brands. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join on a permanent, part-time basis. The role offers flexible hours, approximately 16 hours per week, with days and patterns to suit the successful candidate. The position will be primarily office-based.
The successful candidate will oversee the finance functions for two owner-managed businesses, reporting to the company director and liaising across departments. Key responsibilities include:
* General bookkeeping to trial balance using Xero
* Administration of accounts payable and receivable
* Preparing and managing supplier payments
* Preparing outsourced payroll details (no prior experience required)
* Managing VAT reporting
* Bank reconciliations and petty cash management
* Cash flow management
Ideal candidates will have at least two years of experience in a similar role, possibly with previous experience in owner-managed businesses. Qualifications can be either part/fully AAT or equivalent experience. Experience with Xero is advantageous but not essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required as the role involves working within a friendly office environment.
