As a vital part of our weekend team, you will play a key role in keeping production running smoothly, ensuring equipment performs reliably, minimising downtime and supporting the consistent delivery of high-quality products.
What you will be doing
The Work: you will be responsible for the technical integrity of our plant, performing critical maintenance and diagnostic repairs to ensure maximum operational availability.
* Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and carry out corrective repairs on site equipment failures to minimize downtime.
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical defects, utilizing system drawings and manuals to effect repairs and evaluate results before handing back to operations.
* Maintain accurate records via CMMS systems and provide detailed handovers to ensure seamless communication across shifts.
* Conduct root cause analysis and dynamic performance tests to identify ways to improve efficiency, yields, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
What you will bring
The Requirements: To succeed in this role, you must be a qualified technical professional who balances high mechanical and electrical standards with a collaborative, proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Experience: Ideally you’ve worked in food manufacturing or a similar fast-paced environment, with experience maintaining production machinery
* Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
* Technical skills: Confident reading and working from mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings
* Personal skills: A clear communicator who can work across teams, share knowledge and stay positive under pressure
