About the Role
Are you ready to lead major infrastructure projects that make a real difference? Join Balfour Beatty, a global leader in construction and engineering, as a Senior Project Manager and take charge of delivering high-profile highways schemes – starting with the exciting A22 Improvement Project.
Responsibilities
* Drive the successful delivery of major highways projects from planning through to completion.
* Manage end-to-end project activities, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
* Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring exceptional engagement and satisfaction.
* Oversee financial performance, meeting profit and margin targets.
* Champion health, safety, and environmental best practices across all project phases.
Qualifications
* A proven leader with experience managing large-scale highways projects.
* Strong people management skills – able to inspire and get the best out of your team.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation abilities.
* Knowledge of highways management, operations, and tender processes.
* Ideally, a Chartered Civil Engineer (desirable but not essential).
Skills & Experience
* Significant contract management experience in civil engineering or construction.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Confident communicator with strong organisational and writing skills.
* PC literate with MS Office proficiency.
