Part-Time Credit Control / Finance Manager

Permanent role – Engineering business
Viper Recruitment is working with a well-established engineering business in Redditch that is looking to appoint an experienced Credit Control / Finance Manager on a part-time basis.
This is a newly created role. The business has reached the point where finance needs to be handled by someone experienced and commercially minded, rather than sitting with the Director. They’re not looking for admin support — they want someone who can take ownership and run the finance function properly.
If you’re used to being trusted, making decisions and keeping the numbers under control, this could suit you very well.
The role
You’ll have day-to-day responsibility for the finance function, with support from external accountants where needed. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be expected to keep things tight, accurate and moving.
Your responsibilities will include:

Full ownership of credit control, including chasing overdue payments

Managing sales and purchase ledgers
*
Producing cashflow forecasts and regular financial reports
*
Completing bank reconciliations
*
Preparing monthly accounts and management information
*
Working closely with external accountants
*
Reviewing and improving financial processes and controls
*
Acting as the main point of contact for all finance-related matters
What they’re looking for

Strong, hands-on experience in credit control and finance management
*
Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility
*
Confident handling difficult conversations around payment
*
Well organised with good attention to detail
*
Qualified by experience, AAT, or similar
*
Engineering or manufacturing experience would be helpful, but not essential

£28,000 – £33,000 pro rata (3 days per week, depending on experience)
