The selected SEN Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality, tailored education to pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment. The school is a highly regarded specialist provision catering to pupils with complex needs, including autism, moderate learning difficulties, and communication challenges. The school is committed to providing a personalised curriculum that celebrates each child's individuality and promotes independence, confidence, and a love of learning. As an SEN Teacher, you will be expected to: Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEN. Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with support staff and external professionals. Create a safe, positive, and structured classroom environment that supports engagement and progress. Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development. Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to ensure all learners achieve their goals. In order to be considered for this SEN Teacher role, the candidate must: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Have experience teaching pupils with special educational needs (SEN experience is essential). Possess a strong understanding of differentiation, behaviour management strategies, and inclusive teaching practices. Have the right to work in the UK. Meet GSL's safer recruitment background checks. Have a Child Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
