The Children’s Health Information Service (CHIS) Team forms a foundational part of the 0–19 service delivery. Newham 0-19 health service have a continual commitment, working towards improving the lives of Children and Young People in the Borough. The Job As a Clinical Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality care across the borough. Working alongside the Skill mix of Health Visitors, School Nurses, Registered Nurses, Nursery Nurses, and other skilled professionals, you’ll help assess health needs and contribute to services that make a real difference to individuals and the wider community. You’ll work flexibly across Newham’s diverse localities—including Children’s Centres, Health Centres, GP practices, schools, and from home—ensuring services are accessible and responsive to local needs. This is a hybrid administrative role within the Children’s Health 0–19 Service. The postholder will support the coordination and delivery of services across the team. You will be required to accompany members of the Health Visiting, and School Health teams as needed, assisting in the delivery of services across various settings, including health centres, GP practices, schools, and community venues. As a valued member of our team, you’ll work closely within the 0-19 service to deliver high-quality care and support. Your responsibilities will include: Being the first point of contact Support health assessments and clinics across a variety of community settings in Newham, contributing to the delivery of high-quality services for children and young people aged 0–19. Playing a key administrative role within the Children’s Health Information Service (CHIS) Team, ensuring smooth and secure exchange of clinical data and handing of sensitive health records Collecting and inputting essential health data that informs service planning and identifies local health needs for children and young people aged 0–19. Using clinical systems, administrative IT systems, email and internet use.
