Brookside Academy Nursery are currently recruiting a Nursery Apprentice who is passionate about making a difference to the lives of young children and is eager to begin a career in early years education.
Apprentice Nursery Practitioner (Level 3)
37 hours per week (Monday-Friday), All Year Round
Actual salary: National Minimum Wage £15,434.33 – 24,521.29 (depending on age)
Fixed term to align with completion of Level 3 apprenticeship
The Role
As part of our team, you will work alongside experienced practitioners to support a group of key children. You will gain hands‑on experience observing, supporting and planning for children’s development while working towards your qualification. You’ll help provide high‑quality care, engaging learning experiences and contribute to our child‑centred approach, working closely with families to ensure our setting remains safe, fun and enriching.
Key responsibilities include:
* Assisting in planning and delivering age‑appropriate activities following the EYFS framework
* Supporting children’s emotional, social and cognitive development through play
* Helping to observe and record children’s progress and learning journeys
* Promoting positive behaviour and building children’s confidence and self‑esteem
* Working alongside the team to build strong relationships with parents/carers
* Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety at all times
What we’re looking for
* A genuine interest in working with young children
* Willingness to work towards a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare and Education
* Good basic literacy, numeracy and communication skills
* A positive attitude, reliability and eagerness to learn
