Job Summary
This is a fixed term consultant post to cover maternity leave between 13/04/26 and 12/04/2027 within a generalist cellular pathology department. The appointed individual will report gynecological pathology and ideally two or three additional sub‑specialities. The department may accommodate other specialty interests. The post is based at St Richards Hospital as part of the University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (UHSussex).
Applicants who are unable to work full‑time for personal reasons will be considered. If appointed, job content may be adjusted on a personal basis in consultation with the Trust and consultant colleagues.
Responsibilities
* Reporting relevant intra‑operative frozen sections.
* Reporting non‑gynaecology cytopathology.
* Participation in multidisciplinary team (MDT) cover.
* Clinical education of trainees.
* Participation in governance and management.
