About This Role
The Department of Biomedical Science and Physiology at the University of Wolverhampton is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Medical Sciences for the new Accelerated UG Medical Sciences degree course leader role.
You will have a proven track record in academic leadership that will enable you to excel as a course leader, and to contribute to teaching, assessment, quality enhancement and curriculum development within the Department. We welcome applications from candidates from a clinical healthcare setting or those with an active research background. You must have expertise in a medical science discipline, and experience in anatomy and physiology and clinical skills education. You will be expected to teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate level and effectively deliver the key aspects of these areas through lectures, seminars, and practical and clinical skills classes, and be committed to providing an excellent student experience.
Preferably, you will be a member of relevant professional body and have a focus on continuous professional development. Applicants should have a first degree in a related discipline (or equivalent) and a PhD, or a MSc with significant clinical practice experience. You will preferably have a track record of research in a medical sciences area and will engage across a range of university wide research institutes and centres.

You will therefore have an enthusiasm for removing barriers to and widening participation in education.
