We are a long established independent car repair garage, trading in Basingstoke since 1991. We are Volvo & Nissan Specialists, but carry out work on all other makes and models too. Due to expansion, we are looking for an experienced Receptionist/Administrator, with previous experience of working in a busy garage environment, to join our friendly office team.

Opening Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30 am pm (No Weekends) - Happy to receive applications for both full time (part time also considered, but successful applicant would be required to work hours over 5 days Monday - Friday inclusive - with hours to be agreed).

Immediate Start Available

Requirements:

* Positive attitude along with strong and professional customer service skills essential.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Minimum of 3 years receptionist/administrator experience, within a similar garage environment.
* Strong computer and organisational skills.

The successful applicant must be able to work under pressure, using their own initiative, to ensure our customer's are always dealt with efficiently, in a professional and courteous manner. You will work alongside our friendly Service Advisor to greet customers both face to face and on the telephone, whilst also carrying out administration activities to ensure the smooth running of the business - such as booking appointments and managing the diary, monitoring emails, processing payments, invoicing customers, record keeping etc. This role is expandable with a good opportunity to progress within the business. We are currently happy to hear from anyone with the necessary experience, who may be able to work full or part time Monday - Friday inclusive.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

KEY TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES (to include, but not not exhaustive):

* To greet all customers and visitors whether by phone or in person, in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
* To ensure the telephone is answered promptly and courteously at all times.
* To ensure all calls and emails are correctly directed and actioned.
* To ensure that messages taken are accurate, and passed on to the relevant personnel promptly.
* To take bookings in person, over the telephone and online, and accurately record them in the diary.
* To create invoices & estimates.
* To accurately process customer payments, via card, cash or cheque.
* To ensure that the Reception and Customer Waiting Areas are kept in a clean and tidy condition at all times.
* To ensure refreshment is offered to any customer seated in the Customer Waiting Area.
* Liaise with customers/suppliers online.
* Typing of general correspondence when requested.
* General administration, record keeping and filing, to ensure the smooth running of the business.
* To be responsible for your own safety and that of all employees and visitors to the garage.
* To undertake any additional tasks, responsibilities, or assignments as requested.
* To ensure that deliveries or any items received by either registered or recorded post are signed for and distributed.
* To assist with mailshots and marketing when requested.
