What to expect
The Head of eCommerce Partnerships will be responsible for building strategic partnerships with marketplaces and retailers (e.g., eBay, Vinted, Depop, Etsy, major retail groups) - establishing Post Office as their preferred out-of-home network for parcel drop-off and collection. This will entail engaging shippers upstream so that Post Office becomes the default option at point-of-sale driving volume into branches and new formats including lockers, drop boxes and local parcel services.
The role will own the commercial relationships end-to-end building the value proposition, setting commercial terms, negotiating agreements, and developing new services that increase parcel volumes and customer choice. In addition to the functional responsibilities, this role will serve as a key member of the Mails Parcels & Payments leadership team and will support the department Director in ensuring that the function is well managed, delivering for the organisation and building capabilities for the future. This role is also critical for POL's growth agenda so will need to face into a wide variety of internal and external stakeholder groups, including the Group CEO, Chief Revenue Officer, and wider Group Executive Committee.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need to have extensive demonstrable experience in Parcels, eCommerce or Retail Shipping within Marketplace or Retail: In addition you will possess:
• Significant experience in B2B Business Development in complex sales based businesses
• Established relationships with senior decision makers across key marketplaces, retailers or platforms, and credibility as an industry expert
• Experience in eCommerce marketplace spaces, Retail Logistics or Carrier Partnerships
• Track record of delivering growth through Partnerships
• Proven record of effectively influencing senior leaders around commercial proposals, propositions, strategies & plans
• Advanced influencing and communication skills; using a range of techniques to deliver messages effectively make an impact and drive a successful outcome
• Strong commercial business acumen and ability to make data-driven business decisions
• Proven record of effectively influencing senior leaders around partnership strategies, propositions and trade offs
• Strong track record of securing, growing and renewing high value commercial partnerships that deliver tangible volume and revenue growth
• Significant experience managing commercial negotiations with major organisations within Retail, Logistics or Delivery Services
