We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at William Hunter House, Glasgow.
William Hunter House is a 37 bed housing support service for people who have experienced homelessness, who wish to engage in recovery from drugs and/or alcohol, and have a need of support with life skills necessary for maintaining a tenancy.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Keywork a group of clients, supporting them in their recovery and to create person-centred support plans and risk assessments alongside them.
2. Work with colleagues to design and deliver in-house support, including groups and activities.
3. Work alongside and sign-post to relevant external agencies, ensuring that regular reviews are held to support clients.
4. Approach clients with trauma informed practice and empathy and understanding of a range of complex needs and with a harm reduction approach.
5. Ensure open lines of communication with colleagues and management to ensure effective delivery of service.
