As the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit. Salary: £14,917.50 pro rata (FTE £24,862.50 per annum) Contract/duration: Permanent, annualised contract. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year Hours/working pattern: 1170 hours per year, working on average three days a week. Currently, the rota is a rolling monthly pattern including some weekend working. Summer shift is 9.15am - 5.45pm / winter shift is 9.15am - 4.30pm. What it's like to work here Reporting to the Welcome Manager, you'll be part of a small team working at Avebury, part of the Wiltshire Landscape Group. Avebury is famous for the work's largest prehistoric stone circle which partially encompasses a pretty village. Archaeologist Alexander Keiller excavated here in the 1930s and there is a museum bearing his name. At Avebury there is also a Tudor manor house which will reopen to visitors this spring, as well as a beautiful garden of rooms. As part of the welcome team, you will principally work between the visitor reception in the barn, museum, and car park. What you'll be doing Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can.
