Senior Social Worker – Adult Social Care - Dudley
Myn is currently recruiting for experienced and motivated Senior Social Workers to join high-performing Adult Social Care teams within a forward-thinking local authority. This is an excellent opportunity for an exemplary practitioner ready to take on a leadership role, champion reflective practice, and support adults and carers to achieve independence through person-centred, strength-based social work.
The Opportunity:
You will manage a complex caseload while providing professional leadership, mentoring colleagues and promoting innovative, high-quality adult social care practice.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing complex cases involving risk and safeguarding concerns
* Leading Adult Safeguarding Enquiries in line with statutory procedures
* Undertaking strengths-based assessments and developing person-centred support plans
* Promoting independence through Direct Payments and Personal Budgets
* Chairing planning and review meetings
* Deputising for the Assistant Team Manager/Team Manager when required
* Supervising and mentoring junior staff, ASYEs and students
* Supporting reflective practice and professional development across the team
* Working collaboratively with families, carers and partner agencies
* Developing community-based support solutions
* Maintaining accurate case records, assessments and reports
* Applying key Adult Social Care legislation including the Care Act, MCA, MHA and Human Rights legislation
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified Social Worker (Degree in Social Work or equivalent)
* Registered with Social Work England (SWE)
* Significant post-qualified experience within Adult Social Care
* Strong knowledge of Adult Safeguarding, Care Act, MCA and Mental Health legislation
* Experience managing complex cases and safeguarding enquiries
* Supervisory or mentoring experience
* Excellent analytical, communication and decision-making skills
* A strong commitment to person-centred, strengths-based practice
* Ability to lead, mentor and model best practice
