Role Title: Student Services Advisor
Location: Deeside
Contract Type: Full time - Fixed Term until February 2026
Salary: £25,550 - £26,189; salary will be based on a salary assessment and experience.
Coleg Cambria are currently searching for a Student Services Advisor to handle all day-to-day learner enquiries and issue appropriate information in response, including face to face, telephone, chat online and email enquiries.
This includes supporting learners on welfare issues as well as disseminating information to learners regarding course advice and guidance, DBS checks, transport passes for learners
Essential Requirements
1. Good standard of education (GCSE Grade D and above in literacy and numeracy)
2. NVQ Level 3 Advice and Guidance
3. Experience of providing advice and guidance
4. Experience of dealing with young people’s welfare issues
5. Experience of dealing with sensitive situations
6. Knowledge of learner support issues
7. Personal resilience to cope with a range of situations
8. Good ICT skills
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
10. Can establish effective working relationships, strong team player
11. Is self-confident and displays energy and enthusiasm in the learning environment
12. Creative, innovative and imaginative
13. Open and responsive to the needs of others
14. Can quickly adapt to changing circumstances and new ideas
15. Committed to continuous personal and professional development
16. Demonstrates an empathy with the Welsh culture
17. Demonstrates a commitment to Equality and Diversity
Welsh language skills are Desirable for this position.
