This position is open across EMEA.
As a Business Development Manager focused on Cloud Intelligence within AWS, you will provide sellers with insights on cloud business and sales strategies to help them guide customers when choosing a Cloud Platform Service Provider. You will act as the liaison to AWS sales teams across EMEA, identifying and communicating cloud trends, tactics, and responses unique to specific industries, and partner closely with Sales, Marketing, BD, and product teams to win competitive sales engagements.
You will leverage your experience selling public cloud to enterprise customers and translate business requirements to cloud outcomes, driving digital transformation at the executive level and coaching sales teams. Working closely with Cloud Solution Architects, you will articulate the value proposition of cloud workloads.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop scalable competitive strategies to enable winning key strategic deals.
* Support, coach, and develop large deal‑closing capability.
* Serve as the go‑to resource for an AWS field sales segment and sales leadership for AWS differentiation.
* Use excellent communication skills to articulate the business value of AWS propositions, working backwards from customer strategic objectives.
* Earn trust and influence C‑level executives in customer organizations and within AWS.
* Lead strategic, in‑person workshops (travel required).
* Develop and share cloud adoption trends and blockers across the cloud ecosystem.
* Enable and upskill field teams through field‑friendly content and training delivery.
* Track signals and identify opportunities to provide Cloud Intelligence insights to improve offerings.
* Influence internal stakeholders on market realities to further differentiate AWS’s value.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree.
* Experience developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements.
* Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level.
* Experience managing programs across cross‑functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations.
* Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements.
