FT Recruitment Group are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established civil engineering and construction contractor, for an experienced Project Planner to join their growing team. This role offers a blend of office and site-based work, supporting the successful delivery of multiple live projects across the region. As Project Planner, you’ll play a key part in developing, managing, and updating detailed project programmes, working closely with site teams, operations, and senior management to ensure schedules are accurate, risks are identified early, and projects progress efficiently and safely. Main duties include: Produce and maintain detailed programmes for a portfolio of live contracts Monitor progress against baselines and provide schedule updates and forecasts Identify critical paths, delays, and mitigation strategies Support tender planning, construction sequencing, and methodology development Collaborate closely with site teams through visits, progress reviews, and lookahead planning Contribute to client meetings, reporting, and stakeholder communication Assist with delay analysis, time-impact assessments, and EoT submissions Coordinate labour, plant, subcontractors, and materials planning Suitable candidates should have the following: Proven planning experience, ideally within civil engineering, infrastructure, or construction, but backgrounds in other industrial sectors will also be considered Proficiency with planning software (eg MS Project, Primavera) Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Full UK driving licence CSCS card Candidates should be based locally to the Aberdeen area, and must hold the Right to Work in the UK.
