We’re looking for a Team Manager to join our established North Fostering Service, based in our Thornaby office. What You’ll Be Doing As Team Manager, you’ll work closely with our Service Manager to help shape and drive the continued development of the service across the North region. Your responsibilities will include: Leading recruitment and retention strategies for foster carers Overseeing the duty and referral process Supporting team development and fostering a culture of high‑quality practice To succeed, you’ll bring strong leadership qualities, professional curiosity, and a genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people. What We’re Looking For Registration with Social Work England A management or leadership qualification (or willingness to undertake one) Experience in fostering or working with children/young people in social care A full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK Someone who thrives in a team environment and is committed to achieving outstanding outcomes for children and carers You’ll also need to travel occasionally to operational meetings, support groups, and training events.
