Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum Prepare pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments in a supportive and balanced way Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress effectively Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEN Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment Promote positive behaviour and high expectations Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff Communicate effectively with parents and carers Contribute to staff meetings, planning sessions, and school events Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) Have recent experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 2 Have a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment Be enthusiastic, organised, and reflective in practice Have strong classroom management and communication skills Be committed to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing Be dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children The school is conveniently located in Teddington, with good transport links and a friendly local community.
