We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and patient-focused pharmacy technician to lead and manage the pharmacy technical service to our hepatology directorate and ward at Royal Free Hospital.
As a specialist pharmacy technician, the successful candidate will be providing a vital role in delivering a comprehensive pharmacy service and be responsible for all technical aspects of medicines management.
The post holder will consistently work in an accurate, effective and efficient manner to support the provision of a high-quality service to patients and trust staff. They will be part of a high performing team that is expected to demonstrate the Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust values. This means that in undertaking this role, the post holder is expected at all times to behave in a way that demonstrates commitment to the delivery of respectful and compassionate care.
The post will have a particular focus on counselling patients, facilitating seamless discharges on the hepatology ward and effective management of stock at ward level.
The post holder will utilise comprehensive medicines optimisation skills including completing medicines reconciliation, timely supply of medicines and regular review of all stock lists to improve stock holding efficiency. They will be contributing to the safe delivery of complex, high-risk medications in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
