Urology Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Urology Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the team at our Broomfield site.
This Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist role is ideal for nurses with urology oncological experience who wish to further develop into the CNS role. Depending on experience and qualifications the position may be offered as a developmental role commencing on Band 6 with progression to Band 7.
You will use your expertise to drive positive change for patients while working alongside friendly, passionate, and dynamic colleagues.
Main duties of the job
* Promote and develop high standards of care for Uro‑oncology patients.
* Work in close collaboration with the Urology and Oncology departments and other members of the multi‑disciplinary team to ensure a safe and effective pathway of care.
* Support patients and their families, and share CNS expertise with other members of the multi‑disciplinary team.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse (NMC registered).
* ENB 998 or equivalent.
* BSc or Masters in an allied field.
* Non‑Medical Nurse prescribing.
Experience
* Experience of caring for patients with urological or oncological conditions.
* Experience at junior charge nurse level or similar, or have acted up in this role.
* Post‑registration experience – demonstrable experience working in urology or oncology.
* Involved in nurse‑led services or service redesign.
* Knowledge of broader issues related to specialty – political and Trust.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check: The post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975; submission for Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service is required to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Salary: £49,387 per annum (Pro Rata for Part Time).
