Role: TIG Sheet Metal Worker
Location: Nottingham

Rate: £15ph / approximately £30,000
Hours: 39 hours/week
* Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:00pm
* Friday: 7:30am - 3:00pm
Overtime: 1.33x on all hours
Start: ASAP
Contract: Permanent
Client: Leading manufacturer of trade signs for high-end brand names
Position Summary: The role involves fabrication and welding of high-quality trade signs, including cutting and forming sheet metal and TIG welding to join sections and create infill pieces.
Responsibilities include:
* Working with aluminium sheet, box section, tube, and angle to create signage such as fascias, totem signs, portals, enclosures, and A-frames
* Working with mild steel for internal frames supporting aluminium/stainless cladding panels
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Requirements:
* Ideally completed an apprenticeship in welding, sheet metal work, fabrication, or similar (desired)
* Experience working with aluminium (TIG)
* Strong fabrication background
* Ability to read engineering drawings
* Flexibility to work overtime when required
Process: Weld test - basic TIG T fillet in aluminium (2/3mm)
