This permanent role is focused on teaching and assessing students across Levels 1 to 3, within both classroom and workshop settings. Responsibilities You will be delivering high-quality teaching and practical training to students working towards their qualifications in Plumbing. Responsibilities will vary slightly depending on your path: Lecturer Responsibilities: Deliver engaging theory-based lessons from Level 1 to Level 3 Plan schemes of work, sessions and assessments in line with curriculum requirements Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback Carry out assessing and internal verification (IQA if qualified) Maintain accurate records of student attendance and attainment Liaise with employers and support student work placements Instructor Responsibilities: Deliver hands-on, practical plumbing training in a workshop environment Assess students’ competency and provide feedback Support learners with developing trade skills and safe working practices Work closely with lecturers and curriculum staff to align delivery with academic content Candidate Requirements Lecturer Applicants Will Need: A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, CertEd, DTLLS, or equivalent) Assessor qualification (A1, TAQA, or equivalent) Ideally, Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification Experience delivering L1–L3 plumbing in a college or training setting Instructor Applicants Will Need: A minimum Level 3 qualification in Plumbing (or equivalent) Significant industry experience in plumbing or building services Confidence delivering practical demonstrations and assessing learners in workshop settings Willingness to work towards a teaching qualification, if not already held Next Steps Once you’ve applied, one of our friendly further education consultants will give you a call to discuss this opportunity.
