Role: Senior Care Assistant/Med Tech
Location: 29 Glynde Road, Bexleyheath, DA7 4EU
Salary: £14.31ph
Hours: 36 hours per week (34.5 contracted), rota-based including weekends and public holidays
As a Senior Care Assistant, you’ll take a hands-on approach to delivering outstanding person-centred care, while also playing a key leadership role on shift. Whether you’re supporting a new team member, updating care plans, or simply offering a reassuring hand to a resident, you’ll bring confidence, warmth and purpose to everything you do.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Providing high-quality, compassionate care that supports dignity, independence and wellbeing
* Leading your team on shift and ensuring care delivery runs smoothly
* Responding to emergencies and offering guidance to care assistants under nurse supervision
* Reviewing and updating care plans to ensure they stay accurate and person-centred
* Supporting residents with daily activities and encouraging participation in wellbeing sessions
* Acting as a role model to the team and offering mentorship to new or junior colleagues
* Carrying out observations, record-keeping, and supporting handovers
* Supporting with supervision, training and the development of team members
* Building strong relationships with residents, families and colleagues
What You’ll Bring
* A Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care
* Previous experience in a similar senior care role
* A confident, calm and compassionate approach to leading a team
* Knowledge of person-centred care and care planning
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* A respectful, patient and supportive manner with residents and colleagues alike
