Salary: £35,000 - 35,000 per year Requirements: Good grounding in Cyber Security Experience in IT operations, preferably with exposure to governance, internal audit, or cybersecurity Understanding of ISO 27001, GDPR, and risk management frameworks Familiarity with security tools for Vulnerability Management, SIEM, AV/EDR/XDR, and DLP Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 security Relevant certifications (e.g., ISO, ISC2, ITIL, BCS, CompTIA) or willingness to pursue certification Strong communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills Familiarity with international standards and bodies such as NCSC, Mitre, NIST Commitment to ongoing training and development in cybersecurity and IT governance Experience in manufacturing is a plus, but not essential Responsibilities: Monitor network and user activity using analysis tools and resolve or escalate issues/incidents as appropriate Support the IT team in conducting security impact assessments Assist with change management reviews where IT security may be affected Promote and maintain security awareness across the organization Manage the IT Controls Assurance Program (ICAP) for internal auditing Ensure adherence to global IT cybersecurity standards Contribute to the development and maintenance of IT security policies and procedures Provide guidance to ensure operational compliance with international governance standards, legislation, and business requirements Advise on security issues and promote good IT practices Technologies: Active Directory Support ITIL Microsoft 365 Network Security Windows Office 365 Splunk More: We are a well-respected international company, leaders in our field, based in North Cumbria, offering a hybrid working model.
