The Associate Editorial Graphics Producer (AEGP) is responsible for the editorial production of on-air insert graphics for ESPN Content, including live or taped studio programming, events, and streaming productions. The AEGP collaborates with Content Producers, Coordinating Producers, Graphic Operators, Directors, Designers, Researchers, and News Editors on programs such as SportsCenter, Get Up, First Take, and sport-specific studio programming and events. Under the supervision of Managers and Senior Editorial Graphics Producers, the AEGP will learn to utilize various graphic assets, technology platforms, and support resources to produce creative and editorially sound graphics for daily content.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for creating or supervising the creation of written content, visual content, and statistics under tight deadlines in a live broadcast environment.
* Shape and enhance storylines using editorial judgment and clear, concise writing.
* Support coverage of different sports categories and content types.
* Check and proof graphics for grammar, spelling, clarity, and impact during live productions.
* Communicate effectively across production, editorial, creative, and technology departments to ensure high-quality on-air content.
* Execute sponsorship and promotional obligations for each show.
* Maintain high standards of creativity and news judgment regarding content coverage.
Qualifications (required):
* At least 2 years of experience in sports production with a focus on graphics.
* Thorough knowledge of sports news, information, and history, with the ability to produce easily understandable content for viewers.
* Proven track record of leadership and content driving in current role.
* Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members and lead daily tasks.
* Full availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
* Excellent writing and grammar skills; ability to research and write scripts for BottomLine, events, and studio productions.
* Accurate communication of information.
* Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and react quickly to breaking news.
* Compliance with Disney, ESPN, and departmental policies and directives.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience creating on-air graphics.
* Fluency in reading, speaking, and writing Spanish.
* Knowledge of live control room workflows.
Required Education:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
