Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Brighouse, West Yorkshire for a Junior Quality Assurance Technologist. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role within the Product Team, reporting to the Head of Product & Compliance, the Junior QA Technologist will be responsible for the day-to-day quality control and assurance tasks. Ensuring our product is safe, legal and fit for purpose. Liaising with our retail partners and factories across the globe, the role offers fantastic opportunities for personal development and career opportunities within a company experiencing an exciting period of growth.

What you'll be doing

* Create and maintain technical files for all ranges to ensure safety and legality of all product launches.

* Technically assess products in relation to regulatory and industry standards.

* Utilising internal systems, work with the Merchandise Manager to track all orders placed, ensuring pre-shipment inspections, testing and compliance are completed prior to shipment.

* Ensure product specifications are maintained – updating internal systems when changes are made.

* Correspond with major retailers in relation to product selections and their requirements on technical specifications. Complete documentation and / or customer portals in required time frames.

* Research and advise testing requirements on all products within given product categories.

* Liaise with external testing labs with regards to testing as required, to ensure products comply with current legislation. Submit products for due diligence testing.

* Work closely with our Far East office and factories, ensuring technical requirements are understood clearly.

* Review and approve packaging / instruction manuals from a technical perspective, ensuring product claims are accurate and legal requirements are met.

* Work closely with the Product and Sales departments to develop products and support with the quality assurance of those products in relation to regulatory requirements.

* Review and analyse product performance data – Carry out investigations with our suppliers on poor performing products.

* Work with the Head of Product & Compliance on a schedule of factory audits – ensuring our suppliers meet global requirements of Ethical, Technical and Legal requirements.

* Support Customer Services on investigations of defective products – carrying out root cause analysis and identifying any trends. Liaising with our suppliers on corrective actions.

About You

* Highly organised with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
* Experience / interest in a technical and regulatory environment.
* Ability to carry out detailed data analysis.
* Understanding of UK / EU regulatory product compliance requirements.
* Attention to detail.
* Competence in MS Office / Outlook / Excel.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to present technical information in an easy to understand method.

Working Hours

* 40 hours per week with flexible start times:
* 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
* 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
* 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
* (All shifts include a 30-minute lunch break.)

Office based role – 5 days a week – Monday - Friday
