D&I enables SJP to leverage value from its data through actionable insights and data led decision making. The Data Insights Team is responsible for the majority of MI, Analytics, and Data Science consumed by the business. Our aim is to equip everyone in the business with relevant information to make decisions and inform both local and strategic decision making across SJP. Reporting to the Head of Insight Engineering, the Senior Data Insights Analyst plays a key role in bridging the gap between Insight Engineering, Business Stakeholders and the Data Analytics Team. What you’ll be doing: Engaging with business stakeholders to identify and understand their objectives from a business, data and analytics perspective. Facilitating and leading workshops, carry out interviews, and hold meetings to gather detailed requirements and clarify the analytics challenges that need to be solved. Acting as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and technical teams during the analysis and delivery phase. Being accountable and taking ownership for the quality of our Insight definition. Understanding the data sufficiently to enable Insight Engineers to create codable, transformations in the data layer. Identifying gaps in the data or where data is of insufficient quality to enable valid analytics and communicate this to the appropriate CDO entity. Documenting requirements in line with best practice and assist in prioritisation based on do ability and business impact. Who we’re looking for: We are looking for a senior data enthusiast who is data driven, restlessly curious, tenacious and delivery focussed. The ideal candidate will have a high level of experience in statistical analysis techniques and experience of data manipulation using tools such as Python, R, or SQL and be proficient in tools such as Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI, or similar. They will also have experience facilitating and leading workshops and meetings, gathering detailed requirements to address and overcome analytical challenges. Essential Criteria Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics or similar STEM subject. Highly experienced and competent SQL user. Highly experienced and competent user of coding languages including but not limited to Python & R. Experience in leading and facilitating workshops, interviewers, and meetings to gather detailed requirements. Desirable Criteria Experience working with Tableau Service and Desktop Experience in data testing environments Ability to think creatively and proven experience of creating data stories.
