Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk (Full-Time)
Location: Redditch
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday–Friday)
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team in Redditch. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid background in accounts payable to work in a fast-paced, supportive, and friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Match, batch, and code invoices to purchase orders
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs (BACS, CHAPS)
Handle supplier queries professionally and promptly
Assist with month-end close processes including accruals and reporting
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions
Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies
Requirements:
Proven experience in an Accounts Payable or similar finance role
Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, SAP)
Competent in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
High attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines
Professional and proactive approach to work
Desirable:
AAT qualification (or working towards)
Experience working in a shared service or multi-site environment
Familiarity with purchase order systems and automated invoice processing
