Area Sales Manager
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a well-established, independent organisation operating at the forefront of the ophthalmic sector. This full time, permanent position offers the chance to take ownership of a defined territory and make a real impact on market growth across East Anglia through to Hull.
As an Area Sales Manager, the role focuses on driving new business acquisition alongside structured key account management within secondary care. You will work closely with a wide range of key opinion leaders including consultants, nurses, pharmacists, procurement teams and clinical leads. Using a consultative, evidence-based approach, you will build long-term partnerships and open new opportunities across the territory.
The position suits someone who enjoys autonomy, values relationship-led selling and is comfortable navigating NHS structures. You will be responsible for planning and executing a clear territory strategy, identifying growth opportunities and consistently delivering against revenue targets.
The Role:
* Develop and grow the territory through new business and account development
* Build trusted relationships with secondary care stakeholders
* Deliver high-quality product discussions based on clinical evidence
* Manage the full sales cycle from initial engagement to long-term partnership
* Represent the business professionally within the region
Requirements:
The successful Area Sales Manager will bring:
* ABPI qualification
* Proven secondary care sales experience
* Background in pharmaceutical or ophthalmic sales
* Strong understanding of NHS procurement pathways
* Excellent planning, communication and influencing skills

The Package for Area Sales Manager:
* £45,000 - £55,000 basic salary
* £15,000 uncapped OTE
* £525 car allowance or company car
* 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
