Overview
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Hampshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN / SEND, as well as other needs such as SEMH. We support children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties). This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who prefer 1:1 tutoring with a variety of learning needs in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed approach to improve engagement and educational outcomes.
At Targeted Provision our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. You will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
Responsibilities
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision.
* Plan each session of teaching, tutoring, and mentoring to meet individual needs.
* Deliver holistic and engaging sessions that advance the young person’s educational and social-emotional journey.
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress.

Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years of teaching experience
* Experience working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs
* Understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* UK-based with the right to work in the UK, including for remote/online assignments
* Ability to promote health, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies
Employment Status
* This position involves engaging with us as a Worker to provide short-term engagements as they arise
* Contract for service; payment via PAYE
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Insurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not a self-employed position
