Job Title: Director of Data & Analytics

Job Purpose
The Director of Data & Analytics will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Business Information and Clinical Coding teams across all sites in the Trust. This role supports strategic and operational performance, involving system-wide collaborations with intelligence professionals (including data analysts, clinical coders, data scientists, and qualitative researchers). The role ensures information standards, development of business intelligence, information governance, and data analysis to support decision-making at various levels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Act as the primary contact for data, analytics, and insight across the integrated care board, ensuring service availability and maintenance.
2. Produce accurate, high-quality data and translate it into management information to support decision-making at all organizational levels.
3. Collaborate with Analytical and Digital Teams to prioritize and develop data assets supporting local strategies.
4. Manage problem and incident resolution, monitor SLAs, and ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.
5. Attend and chair relevant forums across the ICS, providing leadership and expertise.
6. Provide expertise on health and care data sets to support Trust-wide functions.
7. Handle complex issues through various communication channels.
8. Support technical development within the data warehouse environment, including data modeling and reporting.
9. Manage resources, monitor projects, and maintain stakeholder relationships.
10. Develop KPIs and reporting schedules, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement.
11. Lead new initiatives and projects as needed.
12. Ensure service continuity and oversee operational upgrades.
13. Research new products and support technology delivery.
14. Manage supplier relationships and licenses.
15. Oversee functions reliant on external data interfaces.
16. Standardize systems and processes to align with industry and national standards.
17. Maintain and test Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans.
18. Coordinate data warehouse testing and upgrades.
19. Support ICT projects related to Informatics and contribute to strategic planning.
20. Ensure projects are delivered within budget and timeframes, meeting MVP requirements.
21. Manage staff matters, including development, performance, recruitment, and HR functions.
22. Utilize learning opportunities to improve performance and feedback insights.
