An Office Manager is required for a small but growing private hire/transport firm based in Kingswood, Bristol. The post holder will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the business. Key duties include managing dispatch staff, ensuring driver schedules are covered, tracking compliance with local transport regulations, resolving customer complaints, and maintaining smooth business operations. Core Responsibilities • Team Management: Supervise dispatchers and customer service staff. • Driver Operations: Assisting Logistics Manager to coordinate driver scheduling, track vehicle availability, and manage fleet maintenance. • Customer Service: Address inquiries, process bookings, and resolve passenger complaints or lost property claims. • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all drivers and vehicles meet local licensing laws, safety standards, and insurance requirements. • Financial Duties: Process driver payments, manage company accounts, and monitor daily revenue. Key Qualifications • Experience: Previous experience in a transport, logistics, or fast-paced customer service environment. • Tech Skills: Proficiency in dispatch software, booking apps, and general office management tools. • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to manage drivers and assist the public. • Problem-Solving: Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions under pressure. • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of local private hire or hackney carriage licensing rules.
