Overview
South Lanarkshire Council is looking to recruit an experienced Painter to support the delivery of various works programmes within Building Services. You will be required to carry out painting and decorating tasks within new build, refurbishment and maintenance works, with a flexible approach to managing workloads.
Hours, Pattern & Salary
Hours: 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday 8.00am – 4.30pm, Friday 8.00am – 1.30pm
Salary: £38,506 - £39,606 per year
Contract
Vacancy: Fixed term for 3 months
Responsibilities
* Carry out painting and decorating tasks within new build, refurbishment and maintenance works.
* Demonstrate sound practical technical competencies and high workmanship quality in all aspects of the trade.
* Work within commercial and domestic properties in the construction industry.
* Demonstrate commitment to customer care and strong communication/interpersonal skills.
* Work to targets and predetermined timescales with awareness of health and safety in the workplace.
Qualifications & Experience
* Time-served with trade qualifications SVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in the relevant discipline.
* Able to demonstrate practical competencies in painting and decorating.
* Experience working in both commercial and domestic properties.
