In this position you will…
As a Senior Commercial Product Manager, you will play a critical role in analyzing market landscapes, identifying opportunities, and delivering innovative general insurance, with a strong focus on device and consumer electronics protection insurance products and services, that cater to evolving customer needs for European and African markets. You will work cross-functionally with underwriting, pricing, sales, digital product, and engineering teams to ensure product viability, desirability, and successful launches from end to end.
You will be responsible for…
* Conducting comprehensive market research on broader general insurance and device protection and consumer electronics insurance trends across Europe and Africa, including customer needs, market trends, regulatory environment, competitor landscape.
* Defining general insurance & device protection and consumer electronics protection product features and coverage on the above insights to support business growth activities with prospective clients as well as existing partners
* Leading the enhancement of existing protection insurance products to optimize customer value and business performance.
* Working closely with underwriting and pricing teams to ensure product viability and profitability while maintaining competitive positioning. Partner with sales teams to understand customer and partner requirements, ensuring product-market fit.
* Collaborating with project management, digital product and engineering teams to oversee the development, testing, and launch of new protection programs.

You will require the following qualifications and skills
* At least 6-8 years experience with general insurance, in particular device protection, consumer electronics insurance, and insurtech trends.
* Ability to synthesize data, conduct market analysis, and make data-driven product recommendations.
* Experience in balancing product desirability, viability, and feasibility to achieve business objectives.
* Track record of launching and optimizing innovative products in competitive markets.
* Experience working with digital product and/or engineering teams, understanding technology trends and digital transformation in insurance.
* Fluency in English
