Requirements Role Overview We’re looking for a Creative Strategist who lives at the intersection of performance and storytelling. Someone who can translate platform trends and data into scroll-stopping concepts, and work collaboratively to bring those ideas to life, again and again. This role sits at the heart of what we do: building ad creative that doesn’t just look good, but performs. You’ll lead the creative strategy for multiple client accounts, partnering with media buyers, editors, and creators to design and test creative that drives measurable impact across Meta, TikTok, and beyond. You’ll use insights from platforms, performance data, and user psychology to generate original concepts, brief creators or editors, and work closely with our clients to help them understand what’s working and what to try next. You’ll manage a structured testing pipeline, track results across experiments, and champion learnings that help scale what works. This isn’t a role where you’ll just hand off ideas and hope for the best. You’ll get your hands dirty in the creative process, from finding the perfect meme format to rewriting hooks for a UGC script to editing short copy lines for a carousel ad. At the same time, you’ll be guiding clients through the logic behind the creative direction, connecting strategy with storytelling and data with impact. Key Responsibilities Run structured weekly creative ideation and testing cycles across Meta and TikTok Collaborate closely with the Growth Lead and Founder to brainstorm new angles, review performance, and refine creative direction Bring fresh ideas to the table, whether it’s a new ad hook, a visual reference, or a meme format that fits the brief Write clear, actionable creative briefs grounded in platform insights, user psychology, and client objectives Review and refine concepts, copy, and video edits with an eagle eye—nothing gets past you Analyse creative performance (hook rates, CTRs, ROAS, completion rates) to guide iterations and uncover scalable ideas Source and direct UGC creators, or work with editors and designers to bring creative to life across formats Use tools like TikTok Creative Center, Meta Ad Library, Motion, and competitive research to spot trends and inform strategy Track ideas, briefs, and testing cycles using Asana and Notion—helping keep momentum without chaos Occasionally contribute to content and creative direction for Aperture’s own brand, campaigns, and events Required Experience & Skills 2 years in a creative strategy, growth marketing, or performance-driven creative role (agency or in-house) Deep understanding of TikTok and Meta paid ad formats—including UGC, statics, video, carousels, memes, and motion graphics Proven experience briefing or collaborating with designers, editors, or UGC creators to deliver high-performing ad creative Comfortable interpreting creative performance data (hook rate, CTR, CVR, ROAS, VTR, thumb stop rate) and acting on insights Highly collaborative, with experience working cross-functionally with media buyers, growth leads, and brand or product teams Proficient in tools like Notion, Asana, TikTok Creative Center, Meta Ads Manager, Canva, and Google Workspace Obsessed with the details, whether it’s copy line length, video pacing, or naming conventions in a Notion board Bonus but not required Strong video editing or motion design skills (CapCut, Adobe tools, Descript, etc.) Sharp copy instincts, especially for performance hooks, punchy headlines, and UGC scripts Familiarity with creative testing structures (e.g. ad concept matrices, variant naming, test planning)
